Background:

Virgin Radio is one of the leading radio stations in Vancouver, BC and has been one of Jive’s clients (a.k.a. partners) since 2009.

Objective:

Jive has helped Virgin take a leadership role in social media and develop a strong community of loyal online fans and offline listeners. Jive develops and executes Virgin’s social media strategy as well as various traditional media campaigns.

Strategy:

Social Media: Through a careful balance of engagement and promotional tactics, Jive grows and aligns all of Virgin Radio’s social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest). The focus is on engagement as well as number growth.

Traditional Media: Jive maximizes the external media exposure of Virgin Radio’s crazy on-air antics that range from local media exposure for events such as ‘Bras Across the Bridge’ to international media exposure of “Virgin Radio Fake Film Festival.”

Results:

Social Media: Jive has helped Virgin grows its loyal social media community on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. In addition to strong number growth, the community is also extremely active and engaged. We assess influence and engagement numbers through a variety of online measurement tools that are reported on monthly.

Traditional Media: Jive has secured numerous traditional media stories for Virgin over the past four years that range from local TV and print to international coverage in London Evening Standard UK, Mashable, CBS, Yahoo!, and more.
